Whenever Amy speaks to groups of Coaches they tell her that they are fascinated by the insights from neuroscience but they’re not sure how to use the science to help clients practically.

Coaches are always looking for evidence-based tools that will deliver great results. You want to invest your time in learning about research that helps you understand your clients and your skillset better.

Often Coaches are bombarded with a huge volume of information but need to be very selective as to what you learn from as it is not all equal!

The Coaches we work with are keen to stand out as credible, effective and thorough as a Neuroscience for Coaches graduate.

No Risk Money Back Guaranteed!

Join the programme, get started on Module 1 and if, after 30 days of working through the great content you decide it isn’t for you, for whatever reason, just let us know and we’ll refund your investment. This way, you have nothing to lose, except the great opportunity.

In a crowded market place it can be hard to quickly explain to potential clients why Coaching and why you. It can be tricky to convey your credibility and depth of knowledge. It can be an uphill battle to show organizations and individuals why they should work with you now, and pay you well for that work.

The Neuroscience for Coaches team believe that Coaches do amazing work. They have positive ripple effects in people’s lives. That work isn’t always easy, but it is very valuable.

As a Coach you might be supporting someone back to work after maternity leave when they are scared, filled with uncertainty and guilt and exhausted. Your input could help the organization to value these women more highly. It could make that first year back so much easier for your client, and her child and probably her partner too.

You could be working with a leader in an organization who is struggling. They are stressed and this is having a negative impact on their whole team. Your input as their trusted Coach could create an outpouring of positivity through the team and then onto their loved ones.

Or maybe you’ll work with an individual who is trying to lose weight and be healthier. Your coaching could enable them to enjoy strong mental and physical health that they’ve never had before. Your work together could serve them for the rest of their lives.

We know you make a difference, and that is why…

…we want to equip great Coaches with the best possible skills to effect change and make the biggest difference they can. Neuroscience for Coaches was a direct response to enable more Coaches do more of their best work.

Challenges you may have as a Coach

You might be thinking, “that sounds great.”

  • As a Coach you do want more clients.
  • You do want to serve your clients more effectively.
  • You want to be able to explain how Coaching works.
  • Even to build your credibility quickly.

You’ve probably heard about neuroscience and the (as we call them) ‘Game Changing Insights’ the field provides. You might have felt worried that without a hard science background the insights would be too complicated to understand or use. Many people who come to us have unfortunately heard a neuroscientist (with lots of impressive letters after their name) speak, but felt confused and a bit cheated afterwards. Sometimes people who spend their time deep in the labs are not so skilled in explaining things clearly.

You have a busy life. The idea of learning lots new things may sometimes worry you as things don’t seem to stick as quickly or as easily as before. You want to understand things but more importantly, know how to use them to get results. You don’t want to spend the money or time traipsing around the country (or world) to learn these new Coaching skills.

Why Coaches love Neuroscience for Coaches

That’s probably why the Neuroscience for Coaches blended online programme has been recommended to you. It has been designed with the way your brain learns in mind. After consultation with expert online & blended learning experts this learning journey information was combined with the neuroscience of how you learn to create this enjoyable, effective learning experience.

Synaptic Potential, the company behind the programme, is very credible in this field. We have partnered with universities, worked with neuroscientists, behaviour change experts, psychologists and other professors. We know the content that we share is of the highest quality – which is important for you to know. You should also know that we have a reputation for being skilled at explaining complex ideas in simple, practical ways.

This programme, unlike some others, puts the information firmly in your hands. Most of our Coaches use their knowledge to enhance their Coaching. We also have Coaches that, with this great foundation, have gone on to deliver neuromarketing trainings to large pharmaceutical companies, neuroscience of customer services trainings to airline companies and even Coaches who have joined our expanding global team to deliver our trainings.

Because the programme layers in the information one stage at a time it means that you have a deep and comprehensive understanding that you can flexibly apply. Rather than just some fancy models that limit what you can do with the information.

The Brain Behind the Programme

Amy Brann. She is the 32 year old woman who is invited to speak for the leading Coaching organizations around the world including the International Coaching Federation, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, the Association for Coaching, the Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches, and the Academy of Executive Coaching. The combination of her scientific background (she started off at University College Medical School) and her 12,000 hours of Coaching means she is sought after to explain complex science in a practically applicable way.

She has trained Coaches and leaders in leading organizations globally including Warner Bros, PwC, Roffey Park, EY, Nottingham University Ningbo China, the Academy of Chief Executives and many more.

Claire Bain from the Association for Coaching says…

Amy has a lovely genuine approach; she was a joy to work with. Amy has a great passion about her subject and her enthusiasm to share her knowledge is very apparent. She had a very relaxed, practical and down to earth approach. It comes across very clearly that Amy’s intent is to increase our understanding of how our brain works and give us a very practical approach to apply the learning and get the best from ourselves.

Who The Programme Is For

This programme is for professional personal and executive Coaches along with managers who have Coaching roles, who want to equip themselves for the future of Coaching. Perhaps you have heard about the emerging popularity of the application of neuroscience to various fields and want to know more. Maybe you want to ensure your knowledge is cutting edge and that you won’t get left behind.

Our aim is to work with high quality Coaches who are committed to gaining a depth of knowledge and remain leaders in their field.

So, if this sounds like you, and you are curious about how other disciplines enrich your coaching, and specifically what hard science can offer the world of coaching, and are a self motivated learner, who thrives on digesting information, keen to assimilate and put into practice new discoveries, and ultimately want to stand out and rise to the top of your game, then this programme was made for you!

How it is Structured

The programme runs through 4 modules, each building on the last.
1
The brain basics module covers the essential neuroanatomy and neurochemicals that you’ll want to know about. It is very important that everything you learn has practical applications. This module explains how some of your most familiar areas of expertise as a Coach actually work from a brain perspective. Imagine understanding the neuroscience of goals and the power that gives both you and your client – that along with habits and beliefs are the core focuses for this module.
2
The second module looks at some essential brain concepts that will reveal why the people you work with behave in the way they do on many occasions. Also some of the practices (such as mindfulness) and states (such as flow) have a large body of neuroscientific research to back them up. In this module we look at that research and how you can use it to further empower and serve the people you work with.
3
Module three is crucial for Coaches. The process of changing behaviour is obviously of huge importance to you as a Coach. The great news is that neuroscience has a lot to offer us in how we work with people to optimize the process of making changes. Research in this field will shape how you think about your work going forward.
4
Our final module looks at productivity and what we know about optimizing our brain’s capacity for results. Looking at things as diverse as motivation to fairness, from decision-making to optimism we will delve deep into what makes people tick and how to Coach them to get the most out of themselves

Great for your Coaching, and your Credibility

Neuroscience underpins many Coaching methods, tools, ideologies and strategies. It explains why some things work and how some things don’t. It challenges ideals and has the potential to hold us to a higher standard as Coaches. Neuroscience also lends a depth of credibility and certainty to Coaching which can be very useful in certain environments. This programme is about Coaches having everything at their disposal to best serve those they work with.

Testimonials

Anne Owen

“Before I embarked on the neuroscience course, I was very enthusiastic and was looking forward to a good return on a big personal investment of time, energy and money.

I had some concerns, however.

  1. Would I understand the work? I am not a scientist by training and I found the neuro-biology in my undergraduate psychology degree difficult. Would I ‘get it’ and would I be able to keep up with the rest of the class?
  2. I have been coaching a long time and had great success with my current approach to coaching. Would I have to change it and how big a risk would this be?
  3. Would the course have real depth and not just be, as some neuroscience courses are, a superficial application of results, which are over-generalized and not really examined.

I was very pleased with the process and outcomes of the course. From the beginning it was clear that this was a course where you were expected to engage with the science in an evaluative way and not swallow things whole. Amy takes every question seriously and considers the viewpoint of the person asking it and never makes you feel apologetic for your ignorance.

Did I change the way I coach?
The fundamentals of how I coach (putting relationship at the heart. Working with people’ energy to change, a positive psychology approach) have not so much changed as been enriched by what we learned. I now feel I have some neuroscience validation for my approach but I also have some very specific things I can use to accelerate changes that people want to make at a thinking and behavioural level.”

Maggi Preddy

Principal Consultant, PDP Coaching

“I would recommend this programme to any coaches wishing to grow their knowledge and insight of neuroscience and wishing to understand how this may impact on their coaching practice.”

Gwen Booth

Director, Eventum Coaching and Change Ltd

“I would recommend this programme because it is a such an interesting and valuable programme, yet part of me also wants to keep it quiet to maintain an element of exclusivity.”

Justine Lago

Onion HR

“I’ve noticed that I have had a more blended approach to my meetings with clients and as a result have definitely attracted more clients to working with me. I’d recommend this programme to anyone, prepared to invest in themselves (in time, money and energy) in this emerging area. We were encouraged to take responsibility as a learner, which meant that we got out what we put in and more. This meant that when I applied my learning it felt like I was making an active informed choice rather than just being “told” what to use.”

Distance Learning Programme – FAQ’s

Is Neuroscience for Coaches only for Coaches using certain methodologies or approaches?

Yes – it is only for Coaches who work with people’s brains. (If you don’t believe you are working with your client’s brains then this programme is unlikely to be a good match for you – as we’re crazy about brains!)

How long is the programme?

The programme is designed to fit into your life and existing commitments. The structure of it respects the insights into how people learn best that we have taken from neuroscience (which you’ll also learn about on the programme).

The programme consists of 4 modules. We would suggest scheduling time to work through one every 3 months. There is approximately 20 hours of learning for every module. This would work out to just 2 hours a week for 10 weeks – giving a couple of weeks off each module! Based on what we know of learning this will enable you to assimilate and recall the information more effectively in the future.

How long do I have to complete the programme?

You have a full 2 years (although most people will only take 1 year).

Some of our students are super keen and work through the programme much quicker – it’s possible in a fortnight!

Is there way for students to work together formally or informally?

We encourage and help facilitate participants who choose to, working together to deepen their understanding of the concepts covered. Additionally every month there is a connection telecall, which is an opportunity to connect with the other students going through the programme.

What certification do I receive upon completing the programme?

The Neuroscience For Coaches Programme now incorporates 36 hours of certified CCE (Continued Coach Education) training with the ICF (International Coach Federation).

When you have finished the programme and participated in all the learning chunks in each of the modules you will receive an accredited ‘Neuroscience for Coaches’ certification from Synaptic Potential. This comes with both a formal certificate and digital badge you can display on your website or in your email footer.

Will I understand the science?

We have worked with many Coaches now, from people who haven’t ‘studied’ science since they were in primary school, to trained neuroscientists (Yes! They still came on the programme to learn more!). We have never had someone say that they couldn’t understand the key message that was being shared.

We layer in the information, so you can choose to go as deep as you wish into details. While we do share scientific papers and research, you’re not expected to understand everything in them.

Is there an assessment element to the programme? If so – how does this work?

Currently there isn’t a formal assessment process – however there are several points where the stage of learning you are at is being observed. At some point we may introduce an optional formal assessment. Everything assessment based must always have learning value for you, the student. The central focus is in helping you to become confident in this material and the application of it.

Do I have to travel anywhere?

The programme is delivered entirely through virtual means – so there is no pre-requisite to travel anywhere. Every now and again though we will organize networking face to face meet ups in central London.

If you have any other questions, please do get in touch…

P.S. You deserve to stand out in the crowd and be at the top of your game.
